Weekly Window for Sunday 20th September

Thanks to all who made our coffee morning a success yesterday.  We are thankful for all who contributed to the stalls, and who helped setting up and serving, and to all who came to enjoy a cup of tea.  Every little bit helps and we are grateful for community support.

This Tuesday, the 22st of September we are thinking about John chapter 10 and welcome your contributions to our study.  We will be speaking about Jesus, the good Shepherd and being arrested.

This coming Saturday the 26th, there will be teas in the Longmore for the KCR coffee morning.  Fancy a chat and a pancake?

Next week, the 27th will be a session led Sunday, so do come and support them.  I have to make an unexpected trip to the US to look after my Mother for a week.  I will return 3rd October.  Wiekus will provide pastoral cover if needed while I am away.

Being With will begin next week, on the 28th.  There is still time to consider being a part of this faith conversation.  Please do consider join us.  It will be a joint effort between Rev Shuna Dicks and myself and will be held on-line.  It is a simple click of a link, and if you need help setting this up, I am happy to oblige.  Please ask Amy.

Prayer of the week

Dear God, thank you for this day. Help me hear others as I know that you always hear me. Open my heart and help me give myself with grateful praise to things you have set for me today.  In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Scripture: John 10:11-15

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12 The hired hand, who is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and runs away, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. 13 The hired hand runs away because a hired hand does not care for the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own, and my own know me, 15 just as the Father knows me, and I know the Father. And I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.
