Weekly Window for Sunday 24th August 2025

Thanks to all who have helped with café church today.  Worship with opportunity to reflect is important.  I am hoping each table had inspiring conversation.

A reminder to all session members, there is a session meeting tomorrow night at 7PM.

There will be a follow-up meeting for Keith Show/Holiday Club on Tuesday, 26th at 3 PM in the hall.  We might even begin planning for 2026! Come along and share your ideas for how we can make our presence in the community even more evident.

Good news!  Plans are progressing for singing in Keith, with the award of our Seeds for Growth Grant.  A person with a degree in community music has expressed interest, and we hoping to launch choirs in September.  The most likely date will be a Friday afternoon for the community choir-approximately 3 PM.  Are you interested?  It will not be a performance based choir, but a choir to foster love of singing and learn a few hymns from the new supplement God Welcomes All in addition to singing more popular songs.  Remember make a joyful noise?!  Let’s do it together.

Before we know it, it will be September and on the 6th, the Keith Horticultural Society will host its annual show from 1-4 with afternoon teas at Longmore Hall.  I’m sure they would love to see you there.

There will be a Memorial Service of Remembrance and Reflection for parents and relatives who have suffered loss during pregnancy on Sunday, 7th September at 3 PM, New Elgin Cemetery.

Bible Study will begin Tuesday, 9th of September 2025 at 4 PM and we will be considering the book of Psalms with Walter Brueggemann as our guide from his book, Our Hearts Wait.  You do not need to purchase the book to participate, as the Bible will be our primary text.  Praise, Doxology, Lament, Thanks will be our topics through the weeks.  I anticipate this will take us most of the autumn.  We will begin with Psalm 1 & Psalm 98.  All are welcome.  If you have never participated and would like to give it a try, please do come along. Think of it sort of like a Bible Book Club, if that helps.
