Weekly Window for 23rd February 2025

Welcome to our service of Baptism this day at Rothiemay Church.

Thanks to all who joined with us yesterday at our pot-luck in the hall. We had new things to try and good conversation. Those who prepared the hall and those who helped to tidy up are much appreciated, and thank you to all who shared a favourite dish.

We are looking forward to our next Bible Study on this coming Tuesday, 25th Feb at 4 PM in the hall. We will be considering the parable of the Good Samaritan, as well as continuing to Unpack the Bible through Church of Scotland Learning.

This coming Saturday, 1st March, 10-12:30 there will be a presbytery-wide prayer day hosted by Bellie in Fochabers. This is in preparation for Lent, and different ways of praying will be presented. We have a fabulous guest speaker, Rev. Dr. Ken Jeffrey. If you would like to arrange rides, please do so.

3 March at 7:30 we are hosting a visitor from Ayr. She is coming to speak on Archibald Charteris, the founder of the Guild. Her passion and enthusiasm will make this a most excellent meeting. Please put this date on your calendar to learn about this fascinating individual.

Ash Wednesday is also next week, Wednesday 5th at 7:30. You are warmly invited to a worship service in Keith North to prayerfully mark the beginning of Lent.

I’m getting excited about our ‘at-home’ retreat on 22 March, 10-2:30. We will start our day in the upstairs rooms, joining the coffee morning in the hall around 11, break about 1 for a soup lunch in the hall and then we will finish around 2:30. The theme is How do we hear and respond to God?
