Weekly Window for 2 February 2025

The current Guild total is for our four projects, £699.50 not counting the money from the quizzes. Please note the Guild meeting TOMORROW (Monday at 2 PM). The speaker will be Jacqueline Mitchell, and she will speak about foundations in line with our theme. All are welcome. Do come and invite a friend.

Next week will host a guest preacher, Jean Forbes. She will be taking the service as February has turned out to be a month that is requiring much more travel than expected.

Please note, the next Bible Study is 11 Feb 25 at 4 PM in the hall. We will continue speaking of Jesus’ parables and finding out about the Bible.

The Moderator of the Church of Scotland will be visiting Keith North and the Manse on the 12th February. He will see our sanctuary and as plans are developing, prayers are appreciated. I am currently awaiting information from the depute clerk to finalise arrangements.

We are planning on having a pot luck lunch on 22 February in the Hall. 1 PM. Come and join us and bring a dish to share. We are gathering for fellowship to spend time with our church family. Do invite a friend.

For your calendar, please note Saturday, 1st March as there will be an opportunity to go to Bellie in Fochabers to participate in a prayer day for the presbytery. This is in preparation for Lent, and different ways of praying will be presented. We have a fabulous guest speaker and I am really looking forward to it. The time is 10-12:30, and tea and coffee will be available. More details will be made available in the coming weeks.

Ash Wednesday is 5th of March and an Ash Wednesday Service will be conducted on that day.

And one more save the date, 22 March we are planning to have a church retreat-this time an at home one. We are planning to meet at 10 AM in the upstairs rooms and have coffee with the fundraiser coffee morning in the hall around 11, break about 1 for a soup lunch and then we will finish around 2:30. This will be during Lent and themes will be appropriate to that time.
